All around us, change is in the air.
Cooks’ relationship with Bellecour is drawing to a close. At the end of May 2025, the licensing
agreement that Cooks of Crocus Hill has enjoyed for the Bellecour Bakery will expire and the Bellecour
brand will return to Chef Gavin Kaysen. Given this change, May 31st will be the final day of service for
our Edina and North Loop stores.
Our flagship location on Grand Avenue in Saint Paul and our cooking school in the North Loop will
continue with business as usual. Cooks of Crocus Hill will continue as THE time-honored, award-
winning and unshakable Twin Cities destination for culinary education, cooking experiences, events
and retail. Our retail store, and our culinary classes and events, are second to none and our team of
amazing family and friends will continue to be the Gold Medal Standard of the industry.
The past five years have undoubtedly been a lesson in adapting to and learning from change. Through
it all, the Cooks | Bellecour partnership has been a story of learning, innovation, resilience, and
friendship. We're grateful to Gavin and the Bellecour brand. We’re proud of what we built.
And we’re extremely appreciative of our wonderful retail and bakery teams for all their contributions,
and for taking an idea born out of chaos and crafting a wild lesson in positivity, creativity, and
opportunity. People are the foundation of our company, and it has been inspirational having this team
as a part of Cooks’ family.
We have reinvented many times before (Thrice, Cooks of Crocus Hill, Cooks | Bellecour), added and
subtracted – we’ve enjoyed partnerships with Marshall Fields, Kowalski’s, Bellecour and so much more.
This is yet another chapter in the Cooks’ Book. Ever creative and always evolving, we are looking
forward to a bounty of delicious adventures to come.
At its core, Cooks is about discovery, community and connection. Joyfully, this will continue, as the
Cooks’ story is far from over…
