Looking for a totally unique way to bring your group together? We’ve got you covered! Get your team out of the office and into our kitchens for a 3-hour experience, where your team will be cooking together while under the guidance of one of our experienced chefs. When the food is ready, everyone will be invited to enjoy the fruits of their cooperative effort. No one sits on the sidelines here—Your successful meal is the product of cooperation and messy fingers!
Activated Learning experiences
Expand the potential of your team-building event by adding on a facilitated learning exercise we like to call: Activated Learning experiences.
By including an Activated Learning experience to your Team Building event, your event will not only be an over-the-top cooking and dining event, but also an exercise is cooperation, communication and trust. Here’s how it works: The chef welcomes the group, explains the “rules” of the Activated Learning experience you’ve selected, and assigns teams. Each team works together to prepare courses of the menu with extra challenges thrown in along the way. When the food is ready, teams present their dishes to the entire group before sitting down to a wonderful meal. Last but not least, our chef facilitates an after action review to conclude the experience. After years of working on these Activated Learning experiences, we’re confident they’re an experience you can only find at Cooks of Crocus Hill.
Choose from one of the following Activated Learning options:
LISTEN TO THE SIZZLE
Elements of Communication
Teams are divided up and given different communication challenges. One team might not be able to talk, where another team has a designated recipe reader. The Chef might also toss a “little sizzle” in the mix to show how listening also is a key function in communicating. Groups must work as one to accomplish their respective menu items in a timely and tasteful fashion.
A-TISKET, A-TASKET, A MYSTERY BASKET
Managing all Resources
Following a recipe is easy. Throwing in a mystery ingredient? Not so much! Two teams compete to create the perfect meal. The twist: a last minute ingredient! Don’t forget a prize for the winning team!
We've partnered with HandsOn Twin Cities to bring volunteer projects into the kitchen to kick off your event. These all hands-on deck opportunities support local families in need and allow creativity to shine with your team. Upon arrival, grab a beverage and we will run you through the customized project "rules". Collectively, you have approximately 30 minutes to complete the work before diving into the kitchen to start cooking together. Consider it a pre-party to your event!
All volunteer projects must be requested a minimum of 4 weeks from the event date.
