Cooks of Crocus Hill is built around the philosophy that everyone in the organization shares in the experience of growing a company. We wouldn’t be as successful as we are today if we didn’t allow our employees to have a voice in what we do. We’re a small organization, much like a tight-knit family, but we’re also evolving. Occasionally, we look to add new members to our team, whether it’s class assistants for the cooking schools, sales associates for our retail locations, or a new member to our administration. Bakers + Laminators

Summary: 

To prepare and bake, or laminate, pastries for the Bellecour Bakery at Cooks. You will be part of a collaborative team where chefs work together to achieve high standards and consistency for all baked goods prepared.

Skills + Requirements:

Bakers:

 

  • Experience working as a baker in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to take direction 
  • Ability to maintain high standards as defined by Lead Baker
  • Ability to be on your feet for length of shift
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team of bakers

Bakers:

  • Experience with laminating dough
  • Experience working as a baker in a fast paced environment

In-House Photographer + Marketing Assistant

Summary: 

To execute photography and marketing, specifically social media needs including; product and lifestyle shots for marketing content while aligning with, maintaining and evolving our brand.

Skills + Requirements:

  •  

    Skilled Photographer with a strong portfolio of work including food, people, products in a variety of settings utilizing natural light 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong team member
  • Technical experience: Photoshop, Lightroom, Creative Cloud, Google Apps for work, editing software, and video editing
  • Independent and collaborative team member
  • Experience with social media execution

Major Responsibilities:

  • 50% Photography/Editing + Video (if skill set resides)

  •  

    35% Social Media
  • 15% Marketing Admin

 

This is a part time, in house position. Approx. 25 – 32 hours per week.

Warehouse Assistant - Part time

Summary: 

Assist the Warehouse Team in moving inventory.

Requirements:

  • Ability to move large and heavy boxes, equipment
  • Team player
  • Able to work scheduled part time shifts 
  • Able to work independently
  • Not afraid to jump in and lend a hand
  • Pleasant and personable

Major Responsibilities:

  • 85% General Warehouse assistance (ticketing, organizing, packing and unpacking shipments)

  • 15% Cleaning and Maintenance

Warehouse Lead

Summary: 

To assist the Warehouse Manager with the flow of inventory to support retail stores, cooking schools & events, bakery  and display.

Requirements:

  • Ability to think and communicate clearly in a fast pace environment 
  • Likes to help others
  • Team Player
  • Previous warehouse work experience a plus
  • Computer skills and trainable to systems
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Enjoys working on a team and takes direction well

Major Responsibilities:

  • 70% Receiving/Pricing/Shelving
  • 15% Store Fulfillment
  • 15% Cleaning/Organizing

 Assistant Store Manager

Summary: 

Collaboratively lead the integration of bakery and retail sales while assisting the Store Manager in the daily execution of activities on the retail sales floor. 

Requirements:

          • Ability to think and communicate clearly in a fast pace environment 
          • People person; Extremely personable, positive, and approachable
          • Top-notch hospitality and customer service skills
          • Passionate about leading & training team members
          • Like to help others
          • Team Player/team leader
          • Culinary knowledge (good to have but not necessary, can train)
          • Previous retail and/or sales experience 
          • Previous barista and/or hospitality experience a plus
          • Computer skills; familiarity using a POS systems and Google suite

Major Responsibilities:

          • 60% Bakery + Retail Sales, Hospitality + Customer Service
          • 20 % Training Team Members
          • 20% Administrative

Chef - Instructor (Part-time) 

Requirements:

          • Prior cooking instruction 
          • Strong engagement and communication skills
          • Creative thinking and time management 
          • Ability to Multi-task, organize and coordinate a learning environment
          • Ability to create and write recipes using various cooking techniques  
          • Teamwork and collaboration

Retail Sales Associate + Barista (Part-time)

Requirements:

          • Ability to think and communicate clearly in a fast pace environment

          • Finds satisfaction in helping others
          • Team Player
          • Ability to understand and recite a menu with options and ingredients
          • Comfortable making a variety of coffee beverages 
          • Can deliver warmth, kindness and knowledge at all times
          • Culinary knowledge and/or interest in learning (good to have but not necessary, can train)
          • Previous retail and/or sales experience a plus
          • Previous barista and/or hospitality experience a plus
          • Able to work various shifts, including weekends and some holidays

Major Responsibilities:

          • 50% Barista
          • 50% Sales
