Cooks of Crocus Hill is currently looking for Part-time Retail Associates for evenings and weekends.


STATMENT OF PURPOSE 
Provide outstanding service, product knowledge for customers while upholding the Cooks brand and philosophy.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

90%  Retail Sales
10%  Attending Product  & Sales Training

Tasks
•    Assist customers with sales needs and respond promptly to comments and complaints
•    Be motivated to achieve defined goals
•    Assist managers with duties
•    Identify and resolve urgent issues
•    Attend vendor and Cooks product and sales trainings each month
•    Ensure follow through with customer requests
•    Complete general upkeep of the sales floor
•    Replenish items and assist with inventory counts
•    Assist in executing all in-store special events
•    Willingness to maintain high standards and be proactive with time management
•    Have the desire to share information and experiences with customers and
   co-workers
•    Enjoy cooking and have a passion for the culinary arts

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
To learn about small business marketing & communications

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
60% - Writing & editing marketing materials
30% - Project management assistance
10% - Participating in Marketing team meetings

Summary of Responsibilities
• Compiling the Cooks’ Chronicle – monthly employee newsletter
• Writing copy for website, in-store signage, e-newsletters, in-store marketing materials
• Write press releases for products, cooking classes and events
• Update a list of contacts for press release submission
• Assist with television filming, as the need arises
• Maintain marketing archives
• Assist with Reward program mailings
• Maintain email mailing lists
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions and meetings
• Assist with various other marketing and communication tasks

Qualifications
• 2 years into a Marketing, Communications or Journalism major
• Excellent writing skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Able to intern 10 hours a week

To learn about small business web administration and development

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
70% - Website design / administration
20% - Collateral design
10% - Participate in team meetings

Summary of Responsibilities• Execute SQL queries to create and update tables
• Create and execute SQL queries and stored procedures
• Design and implement standards-based email newsletter
• Aid in development of standards-based internal applications
• Aid in development and maintenance of external website and e-commerce sites
• Aid in producing print collateral to support marketing team
• Collect, edit and publish product images for online store
• Maintain products contained within online store

Qualifications
• 1-2 years into a web/design degree
• Proficient in ASP, CSS, SQL, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Able to intern minimum of 10 hours a week
